ATP Training Program Description

All of our training programs are customized to every client’s goals, fitness level, and available training equipment.  Our programs manipulate training variables such as; repetition tempo, set volume, rest intervals, load intensity, and exercise grouping.  Through the manipulation of these variables we can control specific training adaptations.  At ATP, we progress our clients through training phases, every phase lasts one month.  We have found that one month is the optimal amount of time to stay on a training program, in order to maximize physiological and neurological adaptations in the body.  Exceeding one month on a training program provides a decrease in training stimulus (hitting a plateau).  After four weeks the body must be provided with new training stimulus (exercises, intensity, volume, and load, etc.) to continue adapting and progressing towards the desired goal.  In the standard periodization of our training programs there are four phases in one complete cycle.

Our standard phase structure is:

·        Corrective and Muscular Conditioning

·        Maximal Hypertrophy

·        Maximal Strength

·        Specified Power

Since all programs are custom tailored to the client, the phase structure and duration will vary on the client’s goals and progress.  All of the exercises in your training programs are included in ATP’s Exercise Index.  These tutorials will demonstrate the proper exercise technique in order to maximize your results and safety.
